Film: VIVRE AUTREMENT LE PRESENT
Development : exploitation of human environment, wealth for some,
extreme poverty for the others. Some people have understood it on
the four continents and gather themselves to build alternatives: social,
environmental and political projects aiming at autonomy and conviviality.
You will follow their action : Ephraim and association Covorpa in
Mexico, join breeding, restauration and fight against water pollution.
In Sénégal, Kalibou and the coxers’ group, Awa
and health friendly mutual, set up forms of local solidarity. In the
Limousin (France), Jean-Luc tells us about the communautarian farm
« Champ libre » (free fields), where three families are
living together, and Anne makes us share « ambiance bois »’s
experience, a cooperative sawmill born 20 years ago from studients’
meetings. And with Mangamantri, you will follow for a while the work
of Ekta Parishad (people’s forum), a popular movement fighting
for the rights of landless people and indigenous tribes of India.

The information exchange inside the network is facilitated, through a
multidisciplinary approach, by the editing of news letter, the organisation
of meetings, the Internet tool, the setting up of an inventory of local
expertises (data base) and the use of complementary competencies for animation
activities, training, technical assistance, etc.
The network should ease the mutual understanding between the North and the South. It should permit organised people and activists of the conviviality to come across and debate about their own future.
Pedagogic tools are implemented to inform a large public about thoughts
and new experiences, which are taking actually place in the South and
in the North.
Some of these tools - CD-ROM, documentary film, exposition - will be part
of set and widely available (for schools, universities, education centres,
etc.) in the European countries.
The awareness, the information are part of the activities that could be
operational through seminars, where knowledge could be exchanged. The
target is also the mutual enriching between theory and acts.
Actions carried out towards universities, teacher education schools, engineering
schools and in general towards professors in the frame of their teaching
about " development " and humanitarian actions.
