WHAT
The network of growth objectors for the post-development
is an organisation is merging different organisations and personalities
that are sharing a radical criticism of the western development pattern.
WHEN?
Since the sixties, informal links are existing between all those, who have chosen to inform and protest against the liberal economical globalisation and its western model: the development. Recently, these links are becoming more tightened.
WHO?
Members of ROCADe are today : farmer unions, anti- or alterglobalisation
movements, ecologists, people involved in practical alternatives, international
solidarity NGO, citizen organisation for the protection of the environment
(wider sense), individuals, university researchers of different subjects
(sociologist, economist, philosopher, geographer, politics…), etc. These
members are living and acting in many countries: Italy, France, Spain,
Germany, England, Belgium, India, Senegal, Switzerland, Canada, etc.(see
map).
All members agree with the charter
of the network and are supporting the spirit of the manifesto.
FOR WHAT PURPOSE?
The objectives of the network for post-development:
- Conceiving and promoting resistance and dissidence against the growth and economical development oriented society;
- Reinforce theoretical and practical consistency of alternative initiatives;
- Enhancing autonomous and convivial societies;
- Fighting for the decolonisation of people's mind to face the economist ruling.
